Walmart: Save money Live better

By Abby Zimet~Common Dreams

Protests by workers at Bangladesh’s many garment factories are spreading, even as riot police fire tear gas and water cannons at crowds of up to 20,000 people, including children. The workers are protesting conditions and wages, which now average $25 a month for sewing clothes for the western likes of Wal-Mart. One more reason among so many not to shop there.

Could have seen this same scene over a century ago in the garment district of London. A century ago in the Southeast U.S. Now, it's in Bangladesh and China.

The March of Capitalist Progress.

We don't have capitalism anymore Mr. Charleston, if we did, ANYONE could get into business, be successful and at least prosper.
No man, what we have in America - and around the world - is CORPORATISM: Government of the plebes, by the OMFR through the UEMFs, for the OMFR (in accordance with prescribed traditions of the Khazakh-Papist Cabal...I mean "judaeo-christian ethic").

Mr. C - It makes me want to by American made products, we should anyway.

Ted - Me too!

YDG - Good for you! I remember when Walmart sold a lot of American made goods, I guess they decided to hell with America.

Crazy4 - Yeah, I always see top models sporting them on the catwalks of Paris, New York and Milan.
