The Zappa Door
I think I've talked about the house in Norman that I shared with two roommates...you know, the one with a Frank Zappa mask on the front door and we would look through the eyes when someone knocked on the door? Well I found a picture of it, I use to have a Pentax k-1000 camera that was my constant companion.

It didn't show up!
Heh I kept waiting for the pic to download then I thought I felt some beady eyes looking at me and wahlah there it be over to my right--------->
rr & tina, Yep I got a Cannon Eos Rebel a few years back but it is computerized and complicated, I miss the simplicity of the K-1000.
JB & apos, sorry not too good at scanning yet.
That is freaking funny. I love your blog Tex it always gives me something to think about or laugh at. You're the best.
I remember that door, I also remember the "mechanical couch" that was in the living room, where I allways passed out.
Riding the mechanical couch was like Bull Riding School, only when you are passed out drunk there is really no 9 second rule.
I remember "someone" going to that door when it was knocked on one hazy night.
The door is opened.
There stands some dude, a complete stranger.
Dude says, "Can I have a dollar?"
"Someone" sez, "Yeah. sure."
It was like animal house on our side of the door except for those 5 seconds, then stunned, Stan asked, "Who the fuck was that?"
"Don't know, he went away though." and "Someone" sat back down and started partying, and the Festivus degenerated from there.
I can't believe we can still have coherent conversations after those years, it must have been because we were Zapped.
Wait... was Sooner one of your roomates? Scary!
holy shit..sooner and tex...there is a match made in party hell..
did you read where dweezle zappa and his band put on a show of all of his daddy's music...all of his music...like 7 hours worth of music...they said all the girlfriends were out in the lobby going 'when the fuck is this going to be over with'..and the guys were going..'man this is the coolest thing...i hope it never ends...'.....rock on zappa..
I would still gladly give a dollar to get along with the world on "The Other side of the Door!"
Sooner I have a pic of you and Mr. X (No, not Malcom). One of you seems to have a rather large bottle of some sort of pharmasuticals(where's spell check when you need it?).
