Why do the "powers that be" want you to believe the governments version of 9-11?

I can't really speak for anyone else, but for me, finding out that it was an inside job was the key to opening my mind to reality.
"If they did this, there's nothing they won't do."
Once you get to that point, it's so much easier to see through them. It is a lot like taking the red pill in the movie The Matrix.
