Stiff Jesus

Usually when I hear about something that is controversial, I side with the people that say "This is a lot of fuss about nothing." but not this time.
Saint Charles Borromeo Catholic church and school in OKC has this painting of Jesus.

Considering the recent (last 100 years) revelations about Catholic priests molesting young boys, this painting made me wonder if it was done so that pedophile priests could say something like "It's ok Billy, see?" "It's just like Jesus, you do love Jesus don't you?"

And that (pardon the pun) is just about the size of it: The Adversary works on peoples' minds a little at a time; sell them a small lie, then a big lie, then a freaking huge one!
First lie was "you came from animals and are nothing but", and not surprisingly, a generation grew up behaving like animals.
Next came "sex is for fun, reproduction is the punishment", and the generation that followed were disconnected children their grandparents had to raise, because momma & daddy didn't give a shit about them.
Now, the final plank of the Church of Euthanasia is being presented: "Humans are nothing, The Earth is everything", and what usually follows that emo-bullshit is democide: Mass starvation & murder of the people by their own government.

In the Dark Ages, the "Christian" Earth-bitch-worship cult called it the Inquisition!

The continuing waves of accumulating scandal shaking the ramparts of the roman catholic church will look a mere trifle compared to the perfect storm that is shortly coming. For these growing, worldwide sexual scandals, exposing the endemic institutional corruption of this tradition, while betraying thousands of children and the faithful, only reflect a far greater betrayal and crime against humanity itself and is setting the stage for the 'churches' worst nightmare: the questioning of it's very origins! And that has already started on the web. But not by any atheist ravings. We may very well come to remember the church as two thousands years of accumulated hubris and theological self deception, retailing a counterfeit copy of revealed truth.
