A USA Today/Gallup poll conducted May 1-2 shows that 9 out of 10 Americans say it is moderately to extremely important to them for the federal government to take steps this year to secure the border against illegal immigration.

Similarly, 61 percent of Americans say they are very concerned that illegal immigrants are putting an unfair burden on U.S. schools, hospitals, and government services.

Gallup asked respondents whether it was extremely important, very important, moderately important, or not that important to them that the U.S. government take steps this year to control the border to stop the flow of illegal immigrants into the country. Only 10 percent said it was not that important. Eighty-nine percent said it was moderately to extremely important, with 42 percent saying it was extremely important, 26 percent saying it was very important, and 21 percent saying it was moderately important.cnsnews

The whole illegal immigrant thing may be just a straw man, at least to most of the country. I can't remember the numbers but I saw something not long ago that measured the cost of illegals on the health care system and it was insignificant. But that really doesn't have anything to do with the issue. Illegal is illegal.

Mr. C - You might be right about the cost but I'm more concerned from a security perspective. All the naked body scanners, the Patriot Act, our civil rights slowly being taken away, all these things in the name of security and our retarded government let's anybody waltz in our Southern border. I mean if they are going to leave it open, that's fine, but then they should get TF off of law abiding Americans backs.

Iran (v. Israel) and the border issue proves to me our FedGov is slutted out to foreign interests and money in general, and to The Whore of Babylon in particular.
I really commend Thomas Jefferson for having the foresight to realize we need separation of church and state, and needed to abolish slavery when the country started, but religion is politics (WHY we fellate Israel & pay the RCCult hundreds of millions of tax-dollars a year to import our enemies), and empires are impossible to build and maintain without enslavement.
My greatest fear growing up was that I would outlive my country. The Washington cocksuckers are making it happen.
