Where did "Happy Days" come from?

Interesting, I didn't know that Happy Days was a spinoff from Love American Style. Reminds me of all those cookie-cutter love story of the week shows they used to air during the 70's - and it seems like they were all on ABC - Love American Style, Love Boat, Fantasy Island, and there were probably a few others that I'm forgetting. TV sucks these days, but it's got nothing on the 70's.

I didn't know that....Love American Style used to be one of my favorite's..I liked it best when it was 2 fifteen minute shows..they were fast, slightly bawdy and funny as hell...when happy days first started out..there was an older brother..he went off to school and that was the end of him..
ha
I just watched Lucky Sleven last night...now that is a weird and funny movie...kinda like the usual suspect movie..but dfferent..
