Lots of people ask me, if I'm libertarian, why don't I step up on drug legalization, marriage equality, etc. Well, I'm not gay, I never plan to marry, and - with this notable exception - I never heard or saw anything good come out of "recreational" drug usage, and I've had a 50-yard-line seat with PLENTY of dopers & sodomites, having come out of a "good" Papist family & neighborhood.
I will continue my research into this subject.
I have researched the subject and it's not for me but I know it does a lot of good for a lot of people. It should be legalized but the morons in Washington have more important issues to deal with like getting re-elected. Thanks for the info, texlahoma.
Galt - Do you ever think of it as censorship?
Like everyone is wearing headphones, and listening to a station above 99.9 is illegal.
If you get caught listening to "Rock 100.5 the KATT" out of OKC, you are subject to arrest.
Should you just go along with it?
Like, "It has been decided by those superior to me, that I should not experience any radio frequencies above 99.9, therefore I shall comply with their wishes and I will criticize anyone who chooses to partake of the forbidden frequencies."
I think being Libertarian is all about live and let live.
Personally, I'm extremely straight, not a gay bone in my body, but so what?
That doesn't give me authority over what gay people do, let them get married, I don't care.
Anyway, not trying to be harsh, we generally see things the same way, but I needed to point out some minor differences in philosophy.
Billy - I would suggest
"Full Scale Research" on human test subjects only.
(And don't be arranging it so that you are the only human test subject
"available" during research time.)
Mr. Shife - I really like your thinking, even though it's not for you, you still see the benefit of legalization.
Prohibition of alcohol caused extreme problems, lots of gang warfare and turf wars.
Once alcohol was legalized, all of that was out of the picture.
