Fly Hell
A long time ago, but not that far away, I lived in Norman, Oklahoma with two roommates.
One of those roommates, Burntout, worked at the mental hospital, a very stressful job.
Sometimes Burntout would roll a great big joint, grab a flyswatter, go out to the screened in porch and close all means of egress.
He would then proceed to smoke the joint, making sure to exhale in the general direction of the flies.
He would then go on a fly killing spree.
(Stoned flies are much easier to kill than non-stoned ones.)
This, almost ritualistic, act came to be known as Fly Hell.

Al Gore - wrong again – Polar ice continues to thrive
In his 2007 Noble Prize acceptance speech, former Vice President Al Gore warned that the “Arctic ice could be gone in as little as seven years.” Last week, the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution reported:
“The North and South Poles are not melting.” In that report, oceanographer Ted Maksym noted that polar ice “is much more stable than climate scientists once predicted and could even be much thicker than previously thought.”That Woods Hole study was confirmed by today’s NOAA Arctic radar map which shows the Arctic Ice Cap at more than 4,000,000 square miles, larger than on any December 28 in the past five years. Reaching the North Pole requires either a dog sled or a nuclear sub; Al Gore’s cruise ship will stay in the tropics. At the South Pole, Antarctic ice coverage is at the highest extent since radar measurement began 35 years ago.

Mike and Molly Meet the Walking Dead
The doctor asked me if Ambien (Zolpidem) gives me nightmares.
That seems like a simple question.
I didn't want to sound like a smart ass and say "Define nightmare."
So I just said "It gives me strange dreams."
Last night I dreamed about Mike and Molly fighting Walkers (zombies) all night.
It wasn't really scary or funny, just kind of annoying.
After a while I was kind of pulling for the Walkers, but Molly kept getting away in the nick of time.
That seems like a simple question.

I hope 2015 is treating you better than it has me.
I got sick, went to the doctor and they swabbed my throat real good, it seemed like they were checking my gag reflex, which is fine.
Not yet satisfied, they got a really long q-tip, ran it as far up my nose real far then got a little hammer and drove it on up there a little farther.
"Tex, you've got the flu!"
I must say, this ain't no punk-ass flu, it's bad-ass flu.
I started taking Tamiflu within 24 hours of the symptoms and it still knocked me on my ass for about seven days.
Those Tamiflu commercials are pretty good at showing how the flu feels, the ones where the people are too big or everything else is too little.
Anyway, I'll quit feeling sorry for myself now.
May you all dodge the flu bug.

He even writes, as the third of three options for Israel to defend itself, that Netanyahu should do this:
