On a related note, Big Tex has been named as the chairman of the newly formed Committee to Re-Elect Jimmy Carter. :-)
I think he hit the nail on the head in a speech. He said the punishment caused more harm to society than the crime its self.
That's what I think about the whole war on drugs. They should legalize and tax that stuff and have quality control and zoning laws for manufacturing. They could get control of it that way, remove or minimize a lot of dangers to the public. No more meth labs next door to a daycare centers and such.
i have always thought jimmy never got the credit he deserved....and i agree with him on the isralie/palestine mess too.
We could sure save a lot of money on prisons! I agree legalize it and tax it, just like booze. Love Jimmy. He wrote a book long ago called The Blood of Abraham. Great summary of all the Middle East groups.
