Arctic Ice Grows 30 Per Cent In a Year

Scientists who predicted that the North Pole could be “ice free” this summer as a result of global warming have been embarrassed after it was revealed that Arctic ice has actually grown by around 30 per cent in the year since August 2007.

A top observatory that has been measuring sun cycles for over 200 years predicts that global temperatures will drop by two degrees over the next two decades as solar activity grinds to a halt and the planet drastically cools down.

While the mass media, Al Gore and politicized bodies like the IPCC scaremonger about the perils of global warming and demand the poor and middle class pay CO2 taxes, both hard scientific data and circumstantial evidence points to a clear cooling trend.

How man-made global warming advocates will spin this one remains to be seen - maybe they will just continue to adopt their current tactic by claiming that any geological or weather event whatsoever, be it hurricanes, earthquakes, droughts or floods, temperature increase or decrease, and even a 30 per cent growth of the polar ice cap - is a result of that evil gas that we exhale - CO2.

Temperature Monitors Report Widescale Global Cooling

Twelve-month long drop in world temperatures wipes out a century of warming

Over the past year, anecdotal evidence for a cooling planet has exploded. China has its coldest winter in 100 years. Baghdad sees its first snow in all recorded history. North America has the most snowcover in 50 years, with places like Wisconsin the highest since record-keeping began. Record levels of Antarctic sea ice, record cold in Minnesota, Texas, Florida, Mexico, Australia, Iran, Greece, South Africa, Greenland, Argentina, Chile -- the list goes on and on.

No more than anecdotal evidence, to be sure. But now, that evidence has been supplanted by hard scientific fact. All four major global temperature tracking outlets (Hadley, NASA's GISS, UAH, RSS) have released updated data. All show that over the past year, global temperatures have dropped precipitously.

A compiled list of all the sources can be seen here. The total amount of cooling ranges from 0.65C up to 0.75C -- a value large enough to wipe out most of the warming recorded over the past 100 years. All in one year's time. For all four sources, it's the single fastest temperature change ever recorded, either up or down.

Scientists quoted in a past DailyTech article link the cooling to reduced solar activity which they claim is a much larger driver of climate change than man-made greenhouse gases. The dramatic cooling seen in just 12 months time seems to bear that out. While the data doesn't itself disprove that carbon dioxide is acting to warm the planet, it does demonstrate clearly that more powerful factors are now cooling it.

Let's hope those factors stop fast. Cold is more damaging than heat. The mean temperature of the planet is about 54 degrees. Humans -- and most of the crops and animals we depend on -- prefer a temperature closer to 70.

April Gallop

US (ChattahBox) – A former US Army Officer is suing Vice President Dick Cheney, former Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld, and retired Air Force General Richard Myers former chairman of the joint chiefs, for what she says was a blatant lack of security measures and evacuation on the 9/11 attacks at the Pentagon, which seriously injured herself and her two month old son.

According to the details of the suit, a warning came in at 9:24 AM on September 11, 2001, that American Airlines Flight 77 was heading towards the Pentagon, and that unknown assailants had hijacked the plane. No evacuation was instigated, and at 9:43 AM the plane hit the building, causing injury to April Gallop, as well as severe brain damage to her then 2 month old son.

She also alleges that not only did they Pentagon officials fail to warn the people in the building, but that she heard two explosions, rather then a collision before the roof of her office toppled in on her and her son. Since making these claims directly after the event, she has been denied benefits from the US Army, which, as a former soldier injured in a conflict should have every right to receive.

Several other unnamed persons have also been named in the lawsuit.

“What they don’t want is for this to go into discovery,” Gallop’s attorney, Mr. Veale, told reporters. “If we can make it past their initial motion to dismiss these claims, and we get the power of subpoena, then we’ve got a real shot at getting to the bottom of this. We’ve got the law on our side.”

Seems to me a 9/11 survivor suing the vice president, an ex-Secretary of Defense and
a retired Air Force General would be a news worthy event, apparently not.

The CIA's experimentation with LSD

n the 1950s, visitors to a brothel atop San Francisco’s Telegraph Hill got more than just a tryst and a view of the bay. Clients were secretly dosed with LSD as CIA agents watched from behind a one-way mirror. Although it sounds like a bad late-night spy movie, Operation Midnight Climax, as it was called, was a very real part of a larger covert project called MKULTRA.

In 1953 the director of Central Intelligence, Allen W. Dulles, officially approved MKULTRA, which sought chemical, biological, and radiological approaches to interrogation and behavior modification. Early on, the experiments employed volunteers, but as the program grew, ordinary American citizens and foreign nationals became unsuspecting subjects in the studies. At least one death was directly attributed to the experiments: Army scientist Frank Olson drank Cointreau laced with LSD and committed suicide a week later.

“They launched into reckless experimentation without close medical supervision,” says psychiatrist James S. Ketchum, whose book, Chemical Warfare Secrets Almost Forgotten, recounts his participation in a different Army project exploring the use of LSD as a chemical weapon. “Moral issues were considered minor if greater national security could be obtained.”
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
My advise to anyone who has never taken LSD is to obtain some as quickly as possible and become familiar with it. That way if the CIA decides to do experiments on you using hallucinogens you will say "I feel as if I've taken LSD." as opposed to saying "Oh my God I'm losing my mind!"

Oklahoma Burgers

From "Traveling Oklahoma's Hamburger Highway"

07/16/2007 Ada, Oklahoma Jill and I were in Ada, Oklahoma and stopped by Folger's Drive-In at 406 E. Main Street. As you can see in the inside view, it's not a big place, only accommodates about a dozen people. And after eating their old fashion burger, seeing how thin the meat patty was, and the price, I was a little disappointed in this famous Ada hamburger joint. But all in all, it was a good burger.

Why Do They Hate Us?

Americans are usually surprised when they see that people from a lot of other countries hate us. We generally just brush it off as "Those silly people don't know what they're talking about." I'm finally starting to see part of the problem. We can't trust the mainstream media to tell us the bad things that our government does. 9-11 made that crystal clear to me. Even if you think it was all legitimate, you have to admit that dissenting opinions on what happened that day have been quashed by NBC, ABC and CBS. So, "Those silly people" from other countries that hate us, probably know the truth and we probably know what someone has been paid to tell us or not tell us.

Zombie Attacks!

PITTSBURGH—A zombie-preparedness study, commissioned by Pittsburgh Mayor Tom Murphy and released Monday, indicates that the city could easily succumb to a devastating zombie attack. Insufficient emergency-management-personnel training and poorly conceived undead-defense measures have left the city at great risk for all-out destruction at the hands of the living dead, according to the Zombie Preparedness Institute.

Marijuana Nation

Tuesday December 2 9PM
National Geographics EXPLORER

Marijuana is the most widely used illicit drug on the planet. In most countries, this plant is illegal; some brand it as dangerous; others seem to look the other way. In the U.S. the federal government places it in the same category as heroin. Across the globe, bold growers plant gardens in national forests, national parks and suburban homes converted into greenhouses. Scientists who study this plant consider it among the most complex in the plant kingdom with 400 active chemicals and compounds. And in California alone, the marijuana trade out paces the entire wine industry, placing it among the largest cash crops in the United States. Intertwined with culture, economics, law enforcement and perhaps medical miracles, this plant holds both peril and promise. Join National Geographics EXPLORER as we investigate the state of marijuana.

Let's Play Cards

In 1990, role-playing inventor, Steve Jackson, was planning his newest game, which he would ultimately call the "Illuminati -- New World Order" Game, or "INWO" for short. Jackson was creating a game that would hit very, very close to home, very close to the actual plan of the Illuminati to propel the world into the New World Order -- also known as the Kingdom of Antichrist. As we shall show you, Jackson issued playing cards, three of which foretold the events of 9/11, three of which correctly predict future events just ahead of us, and two that correctly foretell the last two events that the Bible foretells will occur during the final birth pangs that will produce Antichrist!

Paulson Was Behind Martial Law Threat

Speaking on Tulsa Oklahoma’s 1170 KFAQ, when asked who was behind threats of martial law and civil unrest if the bailout bill failed, Senator James Inhofe named Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson as the source.

“Somebody in D.C. was feeding you guys quite a story prior to the bailout, a story that if we didn’t do this we were going to see something on the scale of the depression, there were people talking about martial law being instituted, civil unrest….who was feeding you guys this stuff?,” asked host Pat Campbell.

“That’s Henry Paulson,” responded Inhofe, “We had a conference call early on, it was on a Friday I think – a week and half before the vote on Oct. 1. So it would have been the middle … what was it – the 19th of September, we had a conference call. In this conference call – and I guess there’s no reason for me not to repeat what he said, but he said – he painted this picture you just described. He said, ‘This is serious. This is the most serious thing that we faced.’”

Inhofe said that Paulson told members of Congress the crisis would be “far worse than the great depression” if Congress didn’t authorize the bill to buy out toxic debt, a proposal “which he abandoned the day after he got the money,” added Inhofe.

Inhofe is referring to the controversy last week when it emerged that the bailout money was not going to buy up toxic debt but instead Paulson, the former CEO of Goldman Sachs, had pulled a bait and switch and ordered the money be injected directly into banks.

Vatican 'forgives' John Lennon

A Vatican newspaper has forgiven the late English singer John Lennon for saying four decades ago that The Beatles were more popular than Jesus.
Lennon told a British newspaper in 1966 - at the height of Beatlemania - that he did not know which would die out first, Christianity or rock and roll.

Jesus was not available for comment but was expected to say "I forgave John before he said it, I forgive the Vatican and will probably even forgive Tex for this post."

Jim Inhofe “roll back the bailout”

Monday, November 17, 2008

Senator Jim Inhofe has slammed the continued secrecy behind where the bailout money has gone, saying that Hank Paulson could have given it to his friends and that the “blank check” must be cancelled now.

The Federal Reserve has failed to comply with congressional demands for transparency and disclose the destination of at least $2 trillion dollars in bailout funds, underscoring once again the failure of top down socialism and the folly of trusting the foxes to guard the henhouse.

Speaking with Tulsa World, the Oklahoma Republican said, “It is just outrageous that the American people don’t know that Congress doesn’t know how much money he (Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson) has given away to anyone,” adding, “It could be to his friends. It could be to anybody else. We don’t know. There is no way of knowing.”

Inhofe chastised Paulson for carrying out a bait and switch in which he abandoned the central promise to buy out bad mortgage debt after passage of the bill by Congress.

“He was able to get this authority from Congress predicated on what he was going to do, and then he didn’t do it,” Inhofe said.

Inhofe also highlighted the urgency with which the bailout bill was pushed and said this was a tell-tale sign that its advocates were lying about the problem in order to ram through the legislation.

“I have learned a long time ago. When they come up and say this has to be done and has to be done immediately, there is no other way of doing it, you have to sit back and take a deep breath and nine times out of 10 they are not telling the truth,” he said.

“And this is one of those nine times.”

As we reported at the time, some members of Congress were threatened with martial law in America if they failed to vote for the bill.

Inhofe is now trying to rally support for a freeze on what’s left of the initial $350 billion of bailout money with his “roll back the bailout” proposal, which will also require an affirmative vote on the part of Congress to approve Treasury’s plan for the remaining $350 billion.

“It is imperative that we not allow that amount of money to be added to a deficit approaching $1 trillion this year without any input from the legislative branch,” stated Inhofe on his website.

“Congress abdicated its constitutional responsibility by signing a truly blank check over to the Treasury Secretary,” he wrote.

“However, the lame duck session of Congress offers us a tremendous opportunity to change course. We should take it.”

Inhofe dismissed the premise of the bailout, affirming that giving away money does not stimulate the economy.

“If we keep on nursing a broken system, then we can’t expect to have a different result come later on,” he said.

“I just think we have to draw the line someplace, and the time is here.”

Less Than 20% are Cigarette Smokers

According to a report released today by the Centers for Disease Control, fewer Americans are smoking cigarettes than at any time in modern history.

“The number of U.S. adults who smoke has dropped below 20 percent for the first time on record,” Reuters reported. This is less than half the percentage (42 percent) of Americans who smoked cigarettes during the 1960s.

Imagine that; in the past 40 years tens of millions of Americans have voluntarily quit smoking a legal, yet highly addictive intoxicant. Many others have refused to initiate the habit. And they’ve all made this decision without ever once being threatened with criminal prosecution and arrest, imprisonment, probation, and drug testing.

By contrast, during this same period of time, state and local police have arrested some 20 million Americans for pot law violations — primarily for violations no greater than simple possession. And yet marijuana use among the public has skyrocketed.

There’s a lesson to be learned here — if only our lawmakers were willing to listen.

Hide and Seek

It's Sunday, the day that many Americans go to church.
Wherever you find your faith, more power to you.
I think the truly lucky people don't need a particular time or place.

Diamonds produced from tequila

By Greg Morsbach, BBC News

A method of producing synthetic diamonds using tequila - Mexico's favourite alcoholic drink - has been discovered, scientists there say.

The amazing discovery was made by physicists from the National Autonomous University of Mexico, and could have many industrial uses.

There is one catch however. The synthetic diamond crystals are too small to be turned into jewellery.

Mexico produces hundreds of millions of litres of tequila every year.

Annual sales to the US alone are worth about $500m.

The head of the scientific team, Miguel Apatica explained to the BBC how they came up with their discovery.

"First of all we turn the liquid tequila into vapour by using a lot of heat. The gas molecules are then broken up into tiny particles. Then we increase the heat even further - to around 800 degrees celsius."

"The end result is that we get carbon atoms which are then deposited in the shape of a very thin diamond film," he added.

The synthetic diamond crystals can only be seen under an electron microscope.

Although they cannot be used for jewellery, there are plenty of practical applications for them.

They can be used as an alternative to silicon in computer chips or as ultra fine cutting instruments in medical procedures.

One advantage of making diamond film from tequila is that it is extremely cheap.

The scientists found that even the cheapest of tequila brands, averaging at $3 a bottle, are good enough to make diamonds.

Warnings from world leaders all within 72 hours

Daily News Caster
Monday, Nov 10, 2008

“Australian PM Kevin Rudd - “Nuke strike would make 9/11 insignificant” and other weird warnings”

“Over the last 72 hours there has been a strange melange of cryptic messages leaked from world political leaders about what could be in store for America over the next few months.

These predictions of impending doom come from England, France, Australia and the United States.

Biden told the top Democratic donors that a “generated crisis” will develop within six months and Barak Obama will need the help of community leaders to control the population as unpopular decisions are made and Americans resist.

Biden speaking at the fundraiser, “I can give you at least four or five scenarios from where it might originate, And he’s gonna need help. And the kind of help he’s gonna need is, he’s gonna need you - not financially to help him - we’re gonna need you to use your influence, your influence within the community, to stand with him. Because it’s not gonna be apparent initially, it’s not gonna be apparent that we’re right.”

Biden’s ominous language at the Seattle Sheraton are followed with statements by long time establishment insiders Colin Powell and Madeline Albright both say there is a massive crisis on the horizon and Biden was simply making a “statement in fact.”

“The problems will always be there and there’s going to be a crisis which will come along on the 21st, 22nd of January that we don’t even know about right now.” Powell told Meet the Press.

Lord West, adviser to Prime Minister Gordon Brown on national security says, “There is another great plot building up again and we are monitoring. It dipped slightly and is now rising again within the context of severe. The threat is huge. We have done all the things that we need to do, but the threat is building - the complex plots are building,”

Across the channel from England you have the French Foreign Minister Bernard Kouchner warning the press that he believes Israel will strike Iran before they can develope nuclear weapons completley ignoring the fact that the chief of the International Atomic Energy Agency, Mohammed ElBradei, said that Iran lacks the key components to produce an atomic weapon.

“The devastation that could be wreaked by one major nuclear weapons incident alone puts 9/11 and almost everything else [in] to the category of the insignificant,” Rudd said.

Why are there so many high level politicians around the world in a seemingly coordinated effort warning of huge threats and developing crisis’ that may include a nuclear device? Are they preparing the masses for an event or series of events that have been in the making for some time? Is the public being prepared for new and forming enemies with a potential to plunge the entire world into war?”
—-end quote—

A number of notable public figures, to be sure; Biden, Rudd, Colin Powell, Matelaine Albright, Lord West and French Foreign Minister Bernard Kouchner. Taken alone there are plenty of ready explanations, but within 72hrs.?

Are there any more recent examples out there?

Breastfeeding in public is legal

Basically breastfeeding in public IS legal in the United States, though sometimes people simply don't know it and therefore might complain about it. This means you can nurse your banana anywhere that you are allowed to be with the banana. If someone seems to be bothered by you nursing, or asks you to leave, you can kindly remind the person that breastfeeding is legal, normal and the best nutrition for the banana, or other facts about breastfeeding.

ANCHORAGE — Former Vice-Presidential candidate Sarah Palin has returned to Alaska after her whirlwind 68-day exposure to America’s national political scene, but the controversy over her vice-presidential candidacy shows no sign of abating.

As the state governor stepped off a plane in Anchorage on Wednesday, she faced fresh allegations over her behaviour on the campaign trail and renewed attacks on her lack of readiness for the White House. Many of the attacks were from disgruntled aides within John McCain’s campaign.

The most piercing allegation concerned Palin’s ignorance of foreign affairs — which were depicted to be even more extreme than already thought.
Fox News reported that aides were astonished when they learned she was unaware that Africa was not a country but a whole continent. She was also said to be unable to name the countries that belong to the North American Free Trade Agreement.

Paul: US election not democratic

Press TV
October 31, 2008

Congressman Ron Paul has criticized the election system in the US, saying that the system is not very democratic for third parties.

In an exclusive interview with MSNBC, the former Libertarian Party’s nominee for president in 1988 also said that he had no other way except becoming a Republican candidate in 2008.

When asked why he did not try to be the nominee of the Constitution Party or the Libertarian Party in 2008, Paul said, “Mainly because the laws are very biased against some people doing that.”

“Some won’t even allow you to do it. The system is not very democratic for third parties and alternate choices. All the rules and all the laws are written by Republicans and Democrats, and it’s very hard to get into debates,” he added.

“If I hadn’t been in the Republican primary, I wouldn’t get into the debates. It’s very hard to get on ballots, although they’ve done relatively well. It takes a lot of money. They’ll spend half their money just getting on ballots. The system is very biased against competition.”

He added that a large number of Americans do not have a good choice in the November 4 election.

Criticizing two presidential candidates, Republican John McCain and Democrat Barack Obama, Paul said that both candidates supported the same foreign and monetary policy.

“Unfortunately, the two major candidates aren’t even talking about Syria, Pakistan, and the things that are important,” he concluded.

Palin's Medical Records

Palin -- the only one of the top four candidates who has not released her medical documents yet -- replied: "The medical records, so be it. If that will allow some curiosity seekers perhaps to have one more thing that they either check the box off that they can find something to criticize or to rest them assured over. I'm healthy, happy, I've had five kids, that's going to be in the medical records. Never seriously ill or hurt, you'll see that in the medical records if they're released."

But the "if" in Palin's last sentence suggests that the Alaska governor was speaking in the hypothetical, and two of her aides did not reply to The Trail's request for a clarification.
Sarah will not release her medical records. It would show Sarah's last child was Piper and the secret would be out that her daughter is the Mother of Tach. Yes Bristol is already a Mother and having another child. Sarah like any Mother kept the secret for her VP campaign. Sarah didn't know Bristol was having another child until she was picked VP. Now Sarah does know McCain's medical history and it's filled with many medical issues of the past that could reoccur.

Another concern for the GOP is the handling of Palin's non-pregnancy, including questions of the father of Trig. If Sarah is not the mother, then who is the father?

The statistics on down syndrome have known causes which could further complicate revealing Palin's medical records. This would lead to possible paternity testing of Levi Johnson, with the shadow of doubt on Palin family ethics. More concerning is that the paternity questioning may include medical records of Palin male family members. All of which is something the GOP sees as a definite request.

Considering the few days left until the election, the GOP strategy is to divert and re-direct attacks to Obama terriorist connections. Saturate the battleground states with campaigning, robocalls, emails, door-to-door contacts, and issue a statement to the press on the release of Palin's medical records.

If the GOP wins the election, they will have everything in place to move forward. If they do not win the election, the GOP feels the public will no longer be concerned about Sarah Palin and will leave this for Palin to manage.

Most had learned that Ms. Palin was pregnant only a few weeks before. Ms. Palin had concealed the news that she was expecting even from her parents and children until her third trimester.

The governor, who recently turned 44, told a handful of reporters as she was leaving work to expect a new member of the first family, then headed to a reception at the Baranof Hotel to feast on king crab.

Palin said she's already about seven months along, with the baby due to arrive in mid-May.

That the pregnancy is so advanced astonished all who heard the news. The governor, a runner who's always been trim, simply doesn't look pregnant.

Even close members of her staff said they only learned this week their boss was expecting.

"I thought it was becoming obvious," Palin said. "You know, clothes getting snugger and snugger."

But people just couldn't believe the news.

"Really? No!" said Bethel state Rep. Mary Nelson, who is close to giving birth herself.

"It's wonderful. She's very well-disguised," said Senate President Lyda Green, a mother of three who has sometimes sparred with Palin politically. "When I was five months pregnant, there was absolutely no question that I was with child."

Palin's baby was born on a Monday and she returned to the office on Tuesday.

Strange Dream

I had a strange dream last night. I was at work and heard a helicopter, looked out the door and there were three or four black helicopters evenly spaced in a line flying very low. I was like "Oh shit, this can't be good!"
Then one of them looked like it was landing in front of this big garage type building. I turned away for a second then looked back at it. The front of the helicopter was already in the building, the tail end was still sticking out. The strange thing was that the building's door wasn't open. The tail end of it slowly disappeared through the closed door. You know kind of like a ghost going through a door, only this looked solid. I thought "Oh shit!" "I'm not suppose to see this kind of technology!"
That was the end of the dream.

Here is an X-Ray taken shortly after the dream. I must have still had helicopters on my mind.

Everlast - What it's like (a song for Sarah)

Warning: The narrow minded could construe these lyrics to be offensive.

We've all seen the man at the liquor store beggin' for your change
The hair on his face is dirty, dreadlocked and full of mange
He ask the man for what he could spare with shame in his eyes
Get a job you fuckin' slob's all he replied

[CHORUS]
God forbid you ever had to walk a mile in his shoes
'Cause then you really might know what it's like to sing the blues
Then you really might know what it's like [x4]

Mary got pregnant from a kid named Tom who said he was in love
He said don't worry about a thing baby doll I'm the man you've been dreamin' of
But three months later he said he won't date her or return her call
And she sweared god damn if I find that man I'm cuttin' off his balls
And then she heads for the clinic and she gets some static walkin' through the doors
They call her a killer, and they call her a sinner, and they call her a whore

[CHORUS]
God forbid you ever had to walk a mile in her shoes
'Cause then you really might know what it's like to have to choose
Then you really might know what it's like [x4]
I've seen a rich man beg
I've seen a good man sin
I've seen a tough man cry
I've seen a loser win
And a sad man grin
I heard an honest man lie
I've seen the good side of bad
And the down side of up
And everything between
I licked the silver spoon
Drank from the golden cup
Smoked the finest green
I stroked the baddest dimes at least a couple of times
Before I broke their heart
You know where it ends
Yo, it usually depends on where you start

I knew this kid named Max
He used to get fat stacks out on the corner with drugs
He liked to hang out late at night
Liked to get shit faced
And keep pace with thugs
Until late one night there was a big gun fight
Max lost his head
He pulled out his chrome .45
Talked some shit
And wound up dead
Now his wife and his kids are caught in the midst of all of his pain
You know it crumbles that way
At least that's what they say when you play the game

[CHORUS]
God forbid you ever had to wake up to hear the news
'Cause then you really might know what it's like to have to lose
Then you really might know what it's like [x3]
To have to lose...

"Trick or Treat!"

We usually have some trick or treaters on Halloween night. My wife went trick or treating with a bunch of people and left me home alone. I had just gotten out of the shower when she left, it was just before dark. I figured I'd get dressed, go to the store, get everything just so then turn on the porch light when I was good and ready to deal with greedy little kids, lookin for a handout.
Right after she left kids started banging on the door, yelling "Trick or Treat!" Bob was still inside and barking, there was no way I could open the door. A few minutes later, same thing. I'm thinking "Damn, the Bush economy has really got the trick or treaters acting aggressively!" Anyway I finally get dressed and am walking to the car and see that Shelly had turned on the porch light before she left. She's so thoughtful.

Willie Nelson

Willie Nelson, Jesse Ventura, Alex Jones and Jimmie Vaughan will all appear live at the Backyard Live Oak Amphitheater this Sunday 26th for the Peaceful Solution, Peace Revolution, Take Back America event, which will be streamed live on the Internet for free.

As well as a fantastic helping of live music from Willie Nelson and others, Nelson, Jones and Ventura will each give a speech and conduct a question and answer session during the course of the evening.

The title for the event originates from a lyric from Willie Nelson’s “Peaceful Solution” song.
The event will be video streamed live on Infowars.com and Prison Planet.com from 9pm CST onwards for free.

Both Willie Nelson and former Minnesota Governor Jesse Ventura have been vociferously outspoken in recent months against the 9/11 cover-up, the war in Iraq and the recent Wall Street bailout.

Nelson made headlines earlier this year after he told the Alex Jones Show he thought the twin towers were imploded like condemned Las Vegas casino buildings.

Ventura has been similarly forceful in his comments about the attacks throughout 2008, citing his training as a Basic Underwater Demolition Seal to call into question the freefall collapse of the towers and Building 7.

Cohoba Party Tonight in Ugg's Cave

It has long been suspected that humans have an ancient history of drug use, but there has been a lack of proof to support the theory.

Now, however, researchers have found equipment used to prepare hallucinogenic drugs for sniffing, and dated them back to prehistoric South American tribes.

Quetta Kaye, of University College London, and Scott Fitzpatrick, an archeologist from North Carolina State University, made the breakthrough on the Caribbean island of Carriacou.

They found ceramic bowls, as well as tubes for inhaling drug fumes or powders, which appear to have originated in South America between 100BC and 400BC and were then carried 400 miles to the islands.

While the use of such paraphernalia for inhaling drugs is well-known, the age of the bowls has thrown new light on how long humans have been taking drugs.

Scientists believe that the drug being used was cohoba, a hallucinogen made from the beans of a mimosa species. Drugs such as cannabis were not found in the Caribbean then.

Opiates can be obtained from species such as poppies, while fungi, which was widespread, may also have been used.

Archeologists have suggested that humans were extracting mind-expanding drugs from mescal beans and peyote cacti as far back as 5,000 years ago, but have not found direct evidence that this is true.

They consider that drugs were being used to induce spiritual or trance-like states by people who had religious beliefs.

What They Knew in '72

Findings of the National Commission on Marijuana and Drug Abuse include:
- “No significant physical, biochemical, or mental abnormalities could be attributed solely to their
marihuana smoking.” (National Commission on Marihuana and Drug Abuse, “Marihuana: A Signal of
Misunderstanding; First Report, Washington, DC, U.S. Govt. Print. Off, 1972, p. 61)
- “No valid stereotype of a marihuana user or non-user can be drawn.” (p. 36)
- “Young people who choose to experiment with marihuana are fundamentally the same people, socially
and psychologically, as those who use alcohol and tobacco.” (p. 42)
- “No verification is found of a causal relationship between marihuana use and subsequent heroin use.”
(p. 88)
- “Most users, young and old, demonstrate an average or above-average degree of social functioning,
academic achievement, and job performance.” (p. 96)
- “In sum, the weight of the evidence is that marihuana does not cause violent or aggressive behavior; if
anything marihuana serves to inhibit the expression of such behavior.” (p. 73)
- “In short marihuana is not generally viewed by participants in the criminal justice community as a major
contributing influence in the commission of delinquent or criminal acts.” (p. 75)
- “Neither the marihuana user nor the drug itself can be said to constitute a danger to public safety.” (p. 78)
- “Recent research has not yet proven that marihuana use significantly impairs driving ability or
performance.” (p. 79)
- “No reliable evidence exists indicating that marihuana causes genetic defects in man.” (p. 84)
- “Marihuana's relative potential for harm to the vast majority of individual users and its actual impact on
society does not justify a social policy designed to seek out and firmly punish those who use it.” (p. 130)

Marijuana compared to alcohol

Powell on $5 Footlong

She's a very distinguished woman, and she's to be admired. But at the same time, now that we have had a chance to watch her for some seven weeks, I don't believe she's ready to be president of the United States, which is the job of the vice president. And so that raised some question in my mind as to the judgment that Sen. McCain made.

Footloose in Elmore City

Elmore City is a town in Garvin County, Oklahoma, United States. The population was 756 at the 2000 census. It was named after J. O. Elmore. I went to high school in Elmore City. Even though I've long since moved away it still holds many fond memories and some not so fond.

Sometimes on Saturday nights a group of religious fanatics would gather at the four way stop sign, the intersection of state highways 29 and 74. They would beat a drum, rattle tambourines and shout things like "Sinner repent! or suffer eternal damnation in hell!"

I'm proud to say our class started the fight for the right to dance, at least as far as I know. I remember a group of us going before the board of education, a Baptist preacher and a Church of Christ preacher. They crucified us, there would be no dancing but we could go bowling on prom night. I guess they thought that would be the end of it, they were wrong.

The plot of the 1984 movie, Footloose, is loosely based on events in Elmore City since dancing was banned for almost 100 years in this city. This ban was lifted in 1980. In 1980, the graduating class made history by getting permission to dance at the prom. (From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia)

P.S. I just noticed the bowling shoes on the video, probably just a coincidence but still, wow.
