Cannabis is one of the most thoroughly studied, yet misunderstood, medicinal psychedelic plants. Owing mainly to the
propaganda of the "War on [Some People Who Use Certain] Drugs,"
Cannabis' potential for self-development, exploration, and therapy is
largely ignored, discounted, and stigmatized. On the DMT-Nexus, Cosmic Spore has been compiling and organizing published scientific literature on this fascinating plant.
The thread can be viewed here: Cannabinoid & Cannabis Studies, Documentaries & the like
“If cannabis were discovered in
an Amazon rainforests today, people would be clambering to make as much
use as they could out of the potential benefits of the
plant"…."Unfortunately, it carries with it a long and not so long
history of being a persecuted plant." Donald L. Abrams, MD
There are very interesting papers,
videos, and external resources within the thread, and some misunderstood
topics are addressed (Note: you need to be logged in to see the
hundreds of attached studies in .pdf format). Some noteworthy topics the
thread includes:
1.) The documented effects of Cannabinoids
2.) The difference between decriminalization and legalization [post #47]
3.) Cannabis doesn't cause schizophrenia [post #45]
4.) Nixonian origin of the Cannabis-prohibitionist ideology [post #43]
5.) Marijuana Policy Hearings [post #49]
7.) The Biotechnology of Cannabis Sativa [1st & 2nd editions] are within the Compressed Files of the Studies and Research So Far

Lots of people ask me, if I'm libertarian, why don't I step up on drug legalization, marriage equality, etc. Well, I'm not gay, I never plan to marry, and - with this notable exception - I never heard or saw anything good come out of "recreational" drug usage, and I've had a 50-yard-line seat with PLENTY of dopers & sodomites, having come out of a "good" Papist family & neighborhood.
ReplyDeleteI will continue my research into this subject.
ReplyDeleteI have researched the subject and it's not for me but I know it does a lot of good for a lot of people. It should be legalized but the morons in Washington have more important issues to deal with like getting re-elected. Thanks for the info, texlahoma.
ReplyDeleteGalt - Do you ever think of it as censorship?
ReplyDeleteLike everyone is wearing headphones, and listening to a station above 99.9 is illegal.
If you get caught listening to "Rock 100.5 the KATT" out of OKC, you are subject to arrest.
Should you just go along with it?
Like, "It has been decided by those superior to me, that I should not experience any radio frequencies above 99.9, therefore I shall comply with their wishes and I will criticize anyone who chooses to partake of the forbidden frequencies."
I think being Libertarian is all about live and let live.
Personally, I'm extremely straight, not a gay bone in my body, but so what?
That doesn't give me authority over what gay people do, let them get married, I don't care.
Anyway, not trying to be harsh, we generally see things the same way, but I needed to point out some minor differences in philosophy.
Billy - I would suggest
ReplyDelete"Full Scale Research" on human test subjects only.
(And don't be arranging it so that you are the only human test subject
"available" during research time.)
Mr. Shife - I really like your thinking, even though it's not for you, you still see the benefit of legalization.
ReplyDeleteProhibition of alcohol caused extreme problems, lots of gang warfare and turf wars.
Once alcohol was legalized, all of that was out of the picture.
(These thoughts not endorsed by Big Brother.)
