Anyone who ever read Dorner's manifesto KNEW he was never coming out of this alive: If he surrendered, he would have died "unexpectedly during an interrogation" (torture), "hung himself in his cell" or "been shot while trying to escape". The more of Mexico Californication lets in, the more it resembles it: indebted, corrupt, covered-up, and - of course - "devoutly religious".
Galt - Yep, he was going to end up dead, just like you said, one way or another. I know there are some good cops in the LAPD, but it is obvious they are few and far between. Looks like the good ones are treated like crap, shunned, not given promotions and are generally not welcome.
