Police Drug Lab Scientist Arrested For Purposely Producing False Positives On Drug Test

Joyce Gilchrist, an Oklahoma City police laboratory scientist, is the subject of a criminal investigation into her work on 3,000 cases Bob Macy, a longtime Oklahoma City district attorney, announced that he would resign on June 30, but said it was not related to the inquiry Jeff Peirce with his aunt and sister-in law, after being freed from 15 years in prison
By JIM YARDLEY In its paper edition, the NY Times listed the names of 13 inmates on death row in Oklahoma, and 12 already executed, whose cases involved testimony from Joyce Gilchrist. Marilyn Plantz, whose trial included the chemist's testimony, was scheduled to be executed on May 1, 2001, but her execution was delayed. There may well, of course, have been other strong evidence of the guilt of these men and women. junkforensicscience

A question: Shouldn't the lovely Ms. Joyce  Gilchrist have been charged with first degree murder? I mean it was obviously premeditated or at least manslaughter?

Bob Macy was something of a legend in Oklahoma, nearly always getting a conviction, little did people know that without "Black Magic" (Joyce Gilchrist) he may have been little more that a joke, known for charging the wrong people for crimes. I hope, someday, these two find themselves in a special little corner of hell, reserved for those who's careers were build on the lives of innocent people.

  4. I am pleased, so pleased that Cowboy Bob Macy is dead. You can rest assures that he is in his own special little corner in hell. The only thing that saddens my heart is that nobody killed him. It is a true testament to how beat down the men of Oklahoma City are by a corrupt and broken lega system. He should not have been allowed to die at his ranch in New all a of natural causes. Somebody should have gone and executed him. I celebrate November 18th every year as the day Bob Macy entered into eternal torment. The morning I first read of his death was the most beautiful day of my life. My breakfast tasted better than any meal I had ever tasted. Colors seemed brighter, the air smelled cleaner. It was a gorgeous day.
