That's funny. I don't see how a person who could post this could have any comprehension of what Bob Marley was about. http://bluebeerriver.blogspot.com/2012/04/learning-from-mainstream-media.html
Nomad - I was just pointing out how much propaganda is in the mainstream news. Purposely showing an old pic of T. Martin(where he looks younger and more innocent), changing the audio to make Zimmerman sound racist, blurring the image so that his head wound would not show up. I was also just pointing out how stupid people have to be to not realize that they are being manipulated.
I'm still afraid you might be missing my point - Picture John Stewart looking at those two pics of Martin. Hmmm, I wonder why they always show the less recent pic? Oh well, in other news president Obama... it shows a pic of Obama at about age 15.
Point taken. I'm just not sure that gangster photo is even Trayvon. Even if it was it doesn't seem to be a representative example of what kind of person he was likely to have been. Typical black teenager. Not a criminal. In any case, he did not deserve to be murdered. But what makes this juxtaposition disturbing is that the only thing the two images have in common is race. Hence you are making a racial statement. And it seems to be one of antipathy, something I'm sure Bob Marley would not appreciate.
did you understand the lyrics, mon?
ReplyDeleteNomad - I sure did, they are true.
ReplyDeleteI think that's why Obama doesn't want to legalize ganja, that and the influence of the pharmaceutical lobby.
