How come people over there hate America?
Collateral Murder
WikiLeaks has released a classified US military video depicting the indiscriminate slaying of over a dozen people in the Iraqi suburb of New Baghdad -- including two Reuters news staff. Reuters has been trying to obtain the video through the Freedom of Information Act, without success since the time of the attack. The video, shot from an Apache helicopter gun-site, clearly shows the unprovoked slaying of a wounded Reuters employee and his rescuers. Two young children involved in the rescue were also seriously wounded. For further information please visit the special project website www.collateralmurder.com.
i've seen this about 3 times and it's just horrific...someone should pay for this shit.
ReplyDeleteThis kind of stuff happens every day all over the world. Has nothing to do with who did it. It's human nature. Still doesn't make it right.
ReplyDeleteEver have the suspicion Iraq and Afghanistan are training fields to get the ModMil - that now readily accepts ex-cons and foreigners - for "civilian population control" here at home during a manufactured "state of emergency"?
ReplyDeleteSome call that paranoia, well "it starts when you're always afraid/step out of line and Da Man come and take you away."
Please,
"EVERYBODY LOOK WHAT'S GOIN' DOWN!"
this was on our local newscast last night. powerful stuff.
ReplyDeleteYDG - I bet you didn't see it on TV either. They'd hate to stir up any anti-war sentiment.
ReplyDeleteMr. C - Yeah it sure isn't right. I'm probably a little naive about such things.
Ted - I was thinking that they will probably get jobs as cops.
"Paranoia is just a higher state of awareness."
Billy - I'm surprised they showed it on TV, I think it's great that they did.
GP - At least in the longer video, at the end, a soldier on the ground is desperately trying to help the little girl, he hasn't had all of the humanity knocked out of him, despite the best efforts of the military.
