"What kind of god would allow an innocent man to do life in prison?"
A man is in prison, falsely convicted of murder.
He is a good man and has always tried to do what is right.
He prays for God to somehow set him free from prison.
There is a great earthquake, the walls of the prison fall down, he is free.
The prison was in Port Prince Haiti
"What kind of god would allow such suffering from an earthquake?"
I think it's amazing how God always gets blamed for all the bad things that happen to people (the majority of which, according to 2 Corinthians 4:4, are the effects of their own believing) but never any credit for the good ones. It's also a mystery to me how so many can be convinced there is a God, but not that there is a Devil and a devil-spirit realm that largely controls the systems of this world (Luke 4:6).
ReplyDeleteGod has little to do with events going on in Haiti, as it is ruled by a kleptocracy that keeps its people poor and subservient to them, and probably knows very well the man is innocent.
Ted - Yeah, good you got the point I was trying for.
ReplyDeletethe Goddess works in mysterious ways.
