In 1995 I bought a water heater and put it in my house. It still heats water fine but when you turn on the hot water, it comes out fast the first few seconds then it slows down to a trickle. I think it's full of sediment like calcium and lime. I tried backwashing it, made a lot of noise but it didn't help. I guess it's time to get another one, 13 years isn't bad. The name of the tank is Service Star, my tooth brush is named Sky Pony.
my bicycle when i was 9 years old was named 'blossom bailey roycroft'...
ReplyDeleteseems like i remember you posting a picture of you knee deep in water over a water heater going out?....maybe i dreamt it..
I've never named inanimate objects, but I like the idea. I'm calling my toothbrush plaquey.
ReplyDeleteYDG, your memory is intact! That was my other water heater. Right after I wrote this post I was running the water in the shower, thinking of $350 flying away like in monopoly when all of a sudden it made a loud noise and started flowing better than it has in a long time. The $350 flew back in my pocket. :)
ReplyDeleteJoy, I don't usually name stuff, it's a long story but I was trying to make my wife remember which toothbrush was mine-it worked.
haha Sky pony - interesting
ReplyDeletelike your header pic too - just poifect ;)
im sure I have a few inanimate objects named - but mostly they are thingies with a few adjectives in front of 'thingie'
Not exactly getting the correlation between yer water tank and toothbrush…unless the toothbrush is also 13 yrs old.
ReplyDeleteI name a lot of things too…usually the christian name is Bloody.
Tina, Sky Pony has gone to that big toothbrush holder in the sky. He was down to one bristle and made a clackity noise on my teeth. He's been replaced by Red, named it that cause it's red.
ReplyDeleteApos, it was suppose to be a "mysterious transition" from hot water heater to toothbrush. I learned about mysterious transitions in my writing class behind the 7-11, all it costs is a bottle of Mad Dog 20-20.
ReplyDeletei love the mugs of blue beer..perfect..
