Man Pulled Gun Over Missing McDouble Burger & Falling down fast food restaurant scene

DECEMBER 23--Tennessee cops are hunting for a McDonald’s patron who pulled a gun on restaurant workers after complaining that his drive-thru order was short a McDouble cheeseburger.
According to police, Demetri Johnson, 21, placed an order early last Thursday at a McDonald’s in Nashville. After receiving his food, he pulled away from the restaurant’s drive-thru lane.
Johnson, pictured at right, soon returned to the eatery “and complained that he was missing a McDouble cheeseburger,” cops reported. A McDonald’s manager asked Johnson to park his car and promised “he would bring out the missing item.”
Detectives allege that after waiting for a few minutes, Johnson entered the restaurant with a gun in his hand. After racking the weapon, he demanded that his McDouble order be fixed. “He and the three women with him also demanded fresh fries and new soft drinks,” cops added. The quartet departed after receiving their food.
Johnson is being sought on a felony aggravated assault charge. According to court records, Johnson has previously been arrested for weapons possession and theft

Magic Mushrooms Offer Hope From Torment Of Depression And Feelings Of Inadequacy

magic-mushrooms-offer-hope-from-torment-of-depression-and-feelings-of-inadequacy

Scientists studying the effects of magic mushrooms on the human mind have found the brain displays a similar pattern of activity during dreams as it does during a mind-expanding psychedelic drug trip.

An international group of researchers scanned the brains of 15 people before and after they received an injection of psilocybin, the hallucinogen found in the drug. The naturally occurring psychedelic compound is thought to synchronise the activity of brain areas involed in emotion and memory, such as the anterior cingulate cortex and the hippocampus, which suggests the areas were working in unison.

The team have been exploring the potential of psilocybin to help alleviate severe forms of depression in those to fail to respond to other treatments. They stated that early-stage experiments had gained some positive results. It is thought the drug may stop patients dwelling on their perceived inadequacies, by turning down overactive parts of the brain.

Obama Gets Something Right - Cuba

Cubans celebrate release of prisoners with national flag in Camaguey, east of Havana. 17 Dec 2014
(Reuters) - The United States and Cuba agreed on Wednesday to restore diplomatic ties that Washington severed more than 50 years ago, and President Barack Obama called for an end to the long economic embargo against its old Cold War enemy.

After 18 months of secret talks, Obama and Cuban President Raul Castro agreed in a phone call on Tuesday on a breakthrough prisoner exchange, the opening of embassies in each other's countries, and an easing of some restrictions on commerce.

The two leaders made the announcement in simultaneous televised speeches. The Vatican and Canada facilitated the deal.

Obama's call for an end to the economic embargo drew resistance from Republicans who will control both houses of Congress from January and who oppose normal relations with the communist-run island.
Obama said he was ending what he called a rigid and outdated policy of isolating Cuba that had failed to achieve change on the island.

His administration's policy shift includes an opening to more commerce in some areas, allowing use of U.S. credit and debit cards, increasing the amount of money that can be sent to Cubans and allowing export of telecommunications devices and services.

Rand Paul introduces bill to undo Obama’s immigration order

Rand Paul introduces bill to undo Obama's immigration order

“I believe that the Constitution is clear that the legislative power resides in Congress,” Paul said in a statement.

“The President is not a king and he does not have the power to enact laws then execute his own laws.

Our Constitution is being violated by this executive order and other actions by the Obama Administration to govern by executive fiat.”
                                                                               Rand Paul

Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) has filed a bill seeking to repeal President Obama’s executive order that delays deportation of five million immigrants, the Courier Journal reported Saturday.
Paul’s bill, “Preventing Executive Overreach on Immigration Act,” is companion legislation to a House bill passed last week from Rep. Ted Yoho (R-Fla.)
The Kentucky Republican’s proposal, posted on his website Friday, prohibits the president from using discretion when determining who to deport.

"I'd show you stars you never could see."

In astronomy, the Pleiades (/ˈpl.ədz/ or /ˈpl.ədz/), or Seven Sisters (Messier 45 or M45), is an open star cluster containing middle-aged hot B-type stars located in the constellation of Taurus.

To the Japanese, the Pleiades constellation is called Subaru and in Sanskrit it is Krittikas. To some of the aboriginal people of Australia, it is Makara and was recognized to be connected to the Orion constellation. For the Aztec it was called Tianquiztli, which means the “gathering place,” and was considered an important sign of the continuation of life: on midnight every 52 years it appeared directly overhead and assured the ancient Americans that the world would not come to an end.

Spending Bill Grants Half-Billion to ISIS-Linked Syrian Rebels

The $1.1 trillion federal spending bill rammed through Congress provides a half-billion dollars to arm and train ISIS-linked Syrian rebels who could potentially launch terrorist attacks against the U.S.

Section 9016 of the spending bill authorizes the Secretary of Defense $500,000,000 to equip “appropriately vetted elements of the Syrian opposition” who will defend “the Syrian people from attacks by the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant,” but back in September ISIS signed a truce with the remaining rebel groups and they are now working together against the Syrian government.
“The Secretary of Defense is authorized, in coordination with the Secretary of State, to provide assistance, including training, equipment, supplies, sustainment and stipends, to appropriately vetted elements of the Syrian opposition and other appropriately vetted Syrian groups or individuals…” the bill states.
The Syrian rebels, however, consist of ISIS and groups with ties to ISIS.

John Brennan and the Safe Lie

 http://binaryapi.ap.org/18a11a7760244d4eaeeb6ba7fa77e79f/512x.jpg

If you are tuned into reality at all, you know that the raid on Osama bin Laden's compound and the killing of bin Laden was a complete hoax.

Armed with that fact, you know that CIA Director John Brennan is totally full of crap when he claims enhanced interrogation techniques (torture) helped the US find slain al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden.

On the other hand, if you are under the spell of the mainstream media and believe the fairy tale of the bin Laden killing, then you probably believe John Brennan when he says torture helped find bin Laden.
(If you fall into this category may God forgive you for your mental weakness and lack of discernment.)

Brennan, in my opinion, feels very safe making these false statements because what are they going to do, expose the entire bin Laden hoax just to prove he's lying? No way, he's safe in this lie because it's based on an even bigger lie.

Israel Has Guts

"Israeli warplanes hit two separate areas near Syria’s capital of Damascus yesterday, including a facility at the city’s international airport, and reveals Tel Aviv’s role in the destabilzation of Syria and aiding Islamic insurgents inside Syria." - "Aiding ISIS: Israel bombs Syria for fifth time in 18 months, gives arms, medical aid to militants" 21st Century Wire, December 8, 2014.
Israel's periodic attacks on Syria's military facilities, research centers, high-tech weapons, is proof of its courage and military brazenness. And this has to be respected.

Israel can attack Syria all it wants because there isn't a thing that Syria has done in return, which speaks to the Assad regime's lack of seriousness about confronting the threat from Israel. Its hostility towards the Israeli state is merely rhetorical and political.

Since the destabilization and balkanization of Syria began, its economy has been totally ruined, it has a sprawling refugee population that spans many countries and whose future is as uncertain as ever, and its sovereignty has been attacked by a whole collection of states, militias, and adventurous fighters.

And what has the Assad regime done to retaliate against the lawless transgressors such as Israel, Turkey, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, France, England, and above all, the United States?

In the case of the United States, the Assad regime has welcomed its planes to drop bombs on its oil infrastructure above its skies in the name of "degrading and destroying" a transnational Jihadist terrorist group that Washington itself had a hand in creating. This is a comedy on an epic scale.

Israel isn't afraid of the Assad regime. Why the hell would it be?

This is a country that attacked an American ship during the busy days of the Cold War in the 1960s and then made President Johnson and subsequent American presidents shut up about the incident.

This is a country who assassinated a top Iranian nuclear scientist on the busy streets of Tehran a few years ago and then more or less bragged about it.

And you know what happened when Israel trangressed against America and Iran?

She obviously thinks Americans have the mentality of a three year old.

Something to think about, if Hillary is elected president, they'll have to add on to the White House, her ego will need someplace to stay.

About 100 brains missing from University of Texas

AUSTIN, Texas (AP) — The University of Texas at Austin is missing about 100 brains — about half of the specimens the university had in a collection of brains preserved in jars of formaldehyde.

One of the missing brains is believed to have belonged to clock tower sniper Charles Whitman.

"We think somebody may have taken the brains, but we don't know at all for sure," psychology Professor Tim Schallert, co-curator of the collection, told the Austin American-Statesman.

His co-curator, psychology Professor Lawrence Cormack, said, "It's entirely possible word got around among undergraduates and people started swiping them for living rooms or Halloween pranks."

The Austin State Hospital had transferred the brains to the university about 28 years ago under a "temporary possession" agreement. Schallert said his psychology lab had room for only 100 brains, so the rest were moved to the basement of the university's Animal Resources Center.

"They are no longer in the basement," Cormack said.
