How to Watch the News

Shelly and I were watching the local news the other night, the anchor woman says something like

"Many are concerned about the lack of regulation of vape shops."

 I pop off

"Yes I have been very concerned about the lack of regulation of vape shops, haven't you?"

Shelly looked at me kind of funny, it was like I had snapped her out of her TV trance, she caught on and

quickly replied.

"Why yes, I too have been very concerned about the lack of regulation regarding vape shops."

We watched the rest of the story with a restored sense of skepticism and both of us came to the same

 conclusion.

Vape shops are good for the local economy and it is very likely that tobacco companies are really the ones

"Concerned about the lack of regulation of vape shops."

And they would love to influence the government to regulate them right out of business.

The cowboy culture of Oklahoma City's vape shops.

A long story by Matt Richtel in last Sunday's New York Times looks at what I have to believe is a disappearing culture. It's not about an old folk tradition in some mountain village or the practices of indigenous people in a remote corner of the Amazon. It's about indigenous, mom-and-pop e-cigarette stores--vape shops--in Oklahoma City.
For some reason, Oklahoma City has a disproportionate share of the nation's estimated 5,000 vape shops, and many of the people who run them--and their customers--are no friendlier toward cigarette makers than the U.S. Surgeon General's office. One 47-year-old ex-smoker who gave up smokes for vaping says he "now holds his head high" at his local church. "I feel like I'm one step closer to God," he says. "This takes the crime out of smoking."
I'm not sure what he means by that, but Richtel has captured something important in this story. E-cigarettes are not cigarettes, or replacements for cigarettes, exactly. They are something new. And the small businesses that have sprouted in Oklahoma City and elsewhere to sell the devices and the flavored liquid nicotine they run on find themselves in an interesting position, fearing tobacco industry encroachment on one side and government regulations on the other.
Richtel explores the interesting issues surrounding the regulation of vaping in the states and by the federal government, and why it matters whether these are classified as tobacco products or not. (The nicotine comes from tobacco.)

The Power of Hemp and its countless uses

Idiots - Imbeciles - Morons 1 in 10 Americans Wants War With Russia Over Downed Airliner

Idiots -Those having an IQ between 26 and 50.
Imbeciles - Those having an IQ between 26 and 50.
Morons - Those having an IQ between 51 and 70.
Sheeple - Those who believe what they are told, without question, by the propaganda arm of the U.S. government, better known as the mainstream media.

In a new CNN/ORC poll, almost one in ten Americans have expressed a desire to take military action against Russia should it be confirmed that Vladimir Putin’s government was somehow involved with the downing of Malaysian Airlines Flight MH17.
85 percent believe Russia is responsible for the MH17 missile attack.
So, it looks like 10% of Americans have an IQ of 70 or less and 85% of Americans are Sheeple.

The 10% are most likely in agreement with the 85%, that leaves 15%.

Congratulations!

If you are an American reading this blog, you are in the top 15%, you are smarter than 85% of your fellow countrymen.

Makes you think doesn't it?

It makes me think, my thoughts can be summed up into one word:

Yikes!

(One glimmer of hope - the poll is probably propaganda too.)

My A/C Unit Plays - I'm Burning For You by the Blue Oyster Cult

This might sound a little crazy, but when I'm outside and my central air unit kicks on, it reminds me of a song and it immediately starts playing in my head.

I think it's the drums at the very start of the song, it's kind of hard to hear, but there's a one - two, real fast.

That is exactly how the a/c unit sounds when it first kicks on.

Fact is stranger than fiction!

Whistleblower: U.S. Satellite Images Show Ukrainian Troops Shooting Down MH17

Source tells award winning reporter Washington lying about responsibility for tragedy
by Paul Joseph Watson | July 21, 2014

Award winning former Associated Press reporter Robert Parry has been told by an intelligence source that the United States is in possession of satellite imagery which shows that Ukrainian troops were responsible for the shoot down of Malaysian Airlines Flight 17.

In the absence of any proper investigation, media rhetoric over the last few days has firmly pointed the finger of blame for the downing of the aircraft on Russian-backed Ukrainian rebels, but Parry’s source tells a different story. What I’ve been told by one source, who has provided accurate information on similar matters in the past, is that U.S. intelligence agencies do have detailed satellite images of the likely missile battery that launched the fateful missile, but the battery appears to have been under the control of Ukrainian government troops dressed in what look like Ukrainian uniforms. The source said CIA analysts were still not ruling out the possibility that the troops were actually eastern Ukrainian rebels in similar uniforms but the initial assessment was that the troops were Ukrainian soldiers. There also was the suggestion that the soldiers involved were undisciplined and possibly drunk, since the imagery showed what looked like beer bottles scattered around the site, the source said.

Although the establishment press has attempted to deride any questioning of the official narrative that Ukrainian rebels were responsible for the incident by invoking the tired “conspiracy theory” pejorative, Parry can hardly be dismissed as a crank given his key role in covering the Iran-Contra scandal for the Associated Press and Newsweek. Indeed, Parry’s investigative work on intelligence matters, for which he was awarded the George Polk Award, suggests that the information provided by his source is worthy of serious attention.

HORRIFYING – MH17 BREAKING NEWS: Rebel Leader’s Shocking Claim: Victims may have died days before the plane took off

If this account is true, not only does it lend to the mounting evidence that this was a false flag event, it also leads us to wonder if MH17 is really MH370 - or possibly the clone Malaysian Air 777 airliner photographed in Israel.]

The pro-rebel website Russkaya Vesna on Friday quoted Igor Girkin as saying he was told by people at the crash site that “a significant number of the bodies weren’t fresh,” adding that he was told they were drained of blood and reeked of decomposition.

A Little Bit Psychic Again

Like I've said before, I'm kind of a wanna be psychic.

I was driving to work the other day and I noticed a newish police car pass by going the opposite direction.

I wondered to myself if it belonged to the Highway Patrol or county or the local police, that's all I thought about it.

Later that morning I was walking into the doughnut shop and that same car caught my eye, it was about a block away, I couldn't see the driver or any identifying marks on it, but it was obviously some kind of cop car.

A (Not a voice but a strong thought that seemed like it was from an external source said)

"Whoever is driving that car is looking for you."

I just thought to myself

"That was weird." and went on about my business of getting a cup of coffee and a bacon croissant.

I got my food, went outside, rounded the corner to get in my pickup and there it sat, the police car.

The cop inside said "Just the man I was looking for!"

I'm thinking "Oh crap, what did I do now?"

I said "I was wondering who was driving that nice new police car."

The cop was the local police chief.

(He falls into, my personal classification of cops, as an Andy, that's the best kind. There are also Barneys and the worst kind are dangerous Barneys.)

Turns out he just wondered if he could have some old scrap lumber that I had to build a hen house.

"Sure, use all you want, I'm just going to have to get rid of it any way."

Later I had to scratch my head  "How did I know that whoever was driving that car was looking for me?"

R.E.M. - Fall On Me (The Sky Song)

Sandy Hook Redux: Obama officials confirm that it was a drill and no children died

(This is the most in depth look at the Sandy Hook Event that I have ever seen, if you prefer illusion over reality, you might want to skip this article. Tex)

By Jim Fetzer (with Paul Preston as interviewed by Sofia Smallstorm)

“I have a lot of sources in regards to as to what’s going on with the president and the administration and so on, and every one of my sources said it was a false flag”--Paul Preston

Remarkably, we now have confirmation from an unexpected source. Paul Preston had obtained information from officials in the U.S. Department of Education of the Barack Obama administration, who confirmed to him on the basis of their own personal knowledge that:
(1) it had been a drill;
(2) no children had been killed; and,
(3) it had been done to promote an anti-gun agenda.

CIA Agent Reveals ‘Startling’ Top-Secret Information

This interview with Tosh Plumlee, former CIA Agent, sheds an interesting light on the Illegals/Immigrants from Central America.
Basically I think he is saying
"These people are just pawns, don't direct your anger towards them, direct it towards the masterminds that are coordinating these moves."
 Maybe he's got a point.

I'll go into a little more detail than he did on one point.
I remember living in Norman, Ok. in the mid 1980's.
There was no weed to be had, I'm sure there were thousands of conversations like this all across the country.
"Got any weed man?"
"No, it's bone dry, need any coke?"
The "War on drugs, just say no president" had almost singlehandedly reduced the availability of marijuana to almost nil, while at the same time increased the availability cocaine to Americans greatly.
How did he do this?
There was a deal made with drug smugglers.
They fly as many weapons that will fit in their plane to the Nicaraguan Rebels and in turn they were allowed to fly back to the U.S. with their planes "so fully packed" with whatever "cargo" they chose to.
They would not be harassed by any law enforcement agency.
Well, these boys ain't stupid, they said
"Screw the weed, we're bringing back coke!"
And that's the story of how the Teflon Hypocrite (Ronald Reagan)  made the drug situation in the U.S. much worse.
BTW - Just say no!

US company signs billion-dollar energy deal with Iran

US company World Eco Energy has signed a preliminary agreement to invest $1.175 billion to generate electricity in Iran. The plan is to turn solid waste into power.
Representatives from the American company and the Chaharmahal-Bakhtiari Province Governor General, Malek-Mohammad Qorbanpour, signed the deal, the Tehran Times reported.
It is expected the project will create 650 immediate jobs, with another 2,000 emerging over the next two to three years, Oorbanpour told the IRNA news agency. Local companies will also be investing the same amount of money into the project.
The Governor General went on to add that 80 percent of the workforce will be employed locally, whileWorld Eco Energy will provide machinery, equipment and technical expertise.
The project aims to create around 250 megawatts per day, which will be generated by burning 1,500 tons of solid waste. Despite being rich in oil and gas, Iran is looking to diversify its energy sector by developing renewable energy. Last year, the country announced plans to construct three new wind farms, each with a power capacity of 350 megawatts.

As Iraq Burns - US Plans $500 Million to Terrorists in Syria

by Tony Cartalucci | NEO | July 3, 2014
President Obama requested $500 million from Congress on Thursday to train and equip what the White House is calling “appropriately vetted” members of the Syrian opposition, reflecting increased worry about the spillover of the Syrian conflict into Iraq.

http://www.theblaze.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/09/Syrian-Rebels-620x357.png
(The New York Times published yet another horrific illustration of how ruthless some of the rebels can be, noting that while Assad’s forces have certainly committed atrocities, the rebels certainly aren’t eschewing violence, and their crimes pose a “dilemma” for the west.  The article includes video of the rebels executing seven badly beaten Syrian soldiers, the leader intoning: “We swear to the Lord of the Throne, that this is our oath: We will take revenge.”)

The reportage is a stunning entanglement of contradictions, claiming that the additional funding for terrorists fighting in Syria will somehow address “spillover” that is in fact a direct result of US, NATO, and their Persian Gulf collaborators’ creation, expansion, and perpetuation of the war in Syria in the first place.
The NYT also stated:
The training program would be a significant step for a president who has consistently resisted providing military aid to the rebels in the conflict in Syria, and has warned of the dangers of American intervention. But military and State Department officials indicated that there were not yet any specific programs to arm and train the rebels that the money would fund, nor could administration officials specify which moderate Syrian opposition members they intended to train and support, or where they would be trained.

RESEARCH CONFIRMS LEGALIZING MEDICAL MARIJUANA DOES NOT INCREASE CRIME

Yet More Proof Fears of Legalization Remain Unfounded in Science
Researchers at the University of Texas Dallas published an article in PLOS ONE today that indicates that despite opponents’ fears, legalizing medical marijuana does not increase crime and may actually lower some types of violent crime.
The study examined FBI Uniform Crime Report statistics on murder, rape, assault, robbery, burglary, larceny and auto theft from all 50 states, including 11 states that legalized medical marijuana during the course of the study, over a 17 year period from 1990-2006. Controlling for confounding factors, they found no increases in any category of offense and even saw a slight decrease in homicides and assaults.

The study is reminiscent of a University of Chicago study that came out last year showing that, despite opponents’ warnings about increases in unsafe driving behaviors, legalizing medical marijuana was associated with a drop in traffic fatalities.
In addition, preliminary figures in Colorado and Washington, the two states to have legalized marijuana for recreational use, show traffic fatalities in those states have slightly decreased the first year of full legalization.

“It must be difficult to be an opponent of marijuana reform. They can’t make arguments against legalization based on logic and facts so they must constantly resort to fear-based hypotheticals and anecdotes that keep getting proved wrong by systematic study. I feel for them. I really do,” said Major Neill Franklin (Ret.), a police officer for 34 years who now heads Law Enforcement Against Prohibition, a group of law enforcement officials opposed to the war on drugs.
